A school is its community, which is why we believe so strongly in a strong school-community relationship.

we recognize the diverse skills and talents of the mon valley community.

Through our community arts mentoring program, we will invite valued community members to instruct students in a variety of arts, crafts, and trades.  This community-based program will not only help foster creativity in our students, but build relationships between students and individuals of diverse backgrounds, helping to bridge generational gaps and promote respect throughout the community.

Some of the mentors we hope to work with will have a skill in music, painting, drawing/graphic design, woodworking, knitting and/or needle work, crafting, writing, and more.

Mentors must be willing to purchase and pass required background tests at their own expense in order to work at our school.  Qualified individuals will earn a quarterly stipend (yet to be determined) for their services.
